Input-output (I-O) analysis has been widely used in national energy and energy-related emission studies. These studies are generally conducted using annual data. In a growing number of countries, significant variations in renewable energy supply and in final demands of goods and services are observed over time within a year. These temporal variations cannot be captured in I-O analysis using annual data. We propose an I-O analysis framework that uses monthly data to investigate such temporal dynamics, and SDA frameworks to reveal the drivers of temporal dynamics associated with energy/emissions embodiments and aggregate embodied intensity indicators. The empirical study based on China’s I-O and monthly data are used to demonstrate the proposed frameworks.

苏斌,新加坡国立大学能源研究所资深研究员,能源与环境研究中心主任,能源系统建模团队负责人,同时担任新加坡节能和低碳路径发展研究项目总负责人。主要研究领域为能源和环境经济与政策、能源与气候变化、能源环境系统建模和分析,在能源和环境相关的国际期刊上已发表SCI/SSCI论文150多篇,连续六年(2018-2023)入选科睿唯安“全球高被引科学家” (2018年“交叉领域”,2019-2023年“经济与商业”),连续五年(2019-2023)入选斯坦福大学研究团队发布的“全球前2%顶尖科学家”(能源领域),连续三年(2021-2023)入选全球知名经济学研究数据库RePEC/IDEAS发布的全球前1%经济学家和Research.Com网站发布的“全球前1%科学家”(经济与金融领域)。现任Energy Policy (SSCI&SCI)期刊主编,Energy Economics (SSCI) 期刊副主编,多个国际期刊的客座主编、副主编和编委,以及100多个国际期刊审稿人,在新加坡主持和参与三十多项能源与环境的研究项目。
