From June 5th to 7th, the 2024 AACSB Asia-Pacific Accreditation Conference, hosted by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), was held in Bali, Indonesia. Over 300 representatives from 21 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world attended the conference, including over 80 business school colleagues from more than 30 Chinese mainland institutions. Our college's Secretary-in-Chief Wang Jun, Director of Accreditation Office Sun Jinfeng, and Accreditation Secretary Liu Haiyan were invited to attend the conference, marking the first time that our college has participated in an official AACSB accreditation conference since starting the accreditation process.

Geoff Perry, Executive Vice President and Chief Member Officer of AACSB, along with Stephanie Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer for the Americas, attended the conference. The conference focused on core principles of success in an uncertain future, the alignment between AACSB International Standards and domestic accreditation requirements, essential criteria for initial accreditation and reaccreditation, integration of technology in AOL system development, faculty qualifications and adequacy strategies in accreditation processes, strategic planning aligned with accreditation standards, leveraging new technologies and AI for societal impact, interpretation of technical standards in accreditation processes, as well as the influence of mission-driven accreditation on schools in the Asia Pacific region. Participants engaged in extensive discussions regarding AACSB's accreditation standards and requirements.

During the conference, representatives from our school held discussions with Geoff Perry, Executive Vice President of AACSB, and Xu Guodong, Director of AACSB East Asia. Sun Jinfeng, Director of the Accreditation Office, reported on the school's accreditation progress. The parties held in-depth discussions on the school's strategic planning, faculty development, and establishment of the AOL system, in alignment with AACSB accreditation standards. At the invitation of Secretary Wang Jun, Geoff Perry and Xu Guodong will soon visit our school for on-site guidance. The representatives actively engaged in discussions and analysis with representatives from other institutions on the finer details of AACSB international accreditation.

Through our participation in this conference, we have deepened our understanding of the AACSB International accreditation standards, strengthened communication and exchange between our school and accreditation organizations and institutions, broadened perspectives for advancing our accreditation work, and clarified further directions for our work.
