报告摘要: 

The rapid growth of AI is transforming data centres into critical energy, cooling, and carbon-management systems, particularly in hot and humid regions where conventional cooling faces significant limits. Drawing on Singapore’s Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed at the National University of Singapore, this presentation examines how advanced cooling, waste-heat recovery, digital twins, district-scale thermal planning, and performance-based standards can enable sustainable and resilient AI infrastructure. It also explores implications for energy security, carbon competitiveness, investment, industrial policy, and regional digital-economy development, highlighting the need for collaboration across engineering, economics, policy, and industry.

 

嘉宾简介:

李宝胜(LEE Poh Seng),新加坡国立大学(NUS)机械工程系主任和院长讲席教授,兼任能源研究所(ESI)执行主任、能源研究与技术中心(CERT)主任和新加坡能源中心(SgEC)联合主任。主要研究方向是高性能冷却技术、节能空调系统以及低品位废热回收的建模和实验研究。所在团队开发的技术可用于提高数据中心、建筑和工业应用的能源效率并降低二氧化碳排放。李教授是美国机械工程师协会(ASME)《传热学报》和IEEE《元件、封装和制造技术汇刊》(CPMT)的副主编。
